The afterimage is a phenomenon of vision: look at something long enough, look away, and it's still there. Film does this too. Not always the grand set pieces or the moments you're supposed to remember. Sometimes something smaller, stranger, more specific. Short, focused pieces on a single moment, scene, detail, or frame. A costume, an interior, a shot that refuses to leave. From anywhere, from any era.
